Hotel Elounda Mare, member of the Relais & Chateaux chain since 1988, is a de-luxe hotel built on gently sloping land on Mirabello Bay 2 kms from the pretty village of Elounda.

A great number of the staff have been here for more than a decade, forming cherished bonds with guests, many of whom have been returning for even longer.

The Elounda Mare, a hotel and village of Cretan-style bungalows, enjoys a stunning setting and landscape. All the units have a beautiful view of the sea and the bungalows have their own private garden and swimming pool. A private beach, Six Senses Spas treatments and a wide range of activities complete this charming setting. 3 restaurants serve products from the sea in an atmosphere which is the very embodiment of Cretan hospitality.

The hotel has a private coastline of 300m so all rooms in the main building and bungalows face the sea.

Rooms and suites in the main building have a balcony or terrace and a wonderful sea-view.  The suites have a separate bedroom and sitting room with balcony and the superior suites are similar to the standard suites but bigger and have a large terrace with a panoramic view of Mirabello Bay and the Aegean.

The Presidential suites are luxurious one or two bedroom suites with a spacious living room and open fire-place.  They are located near the sea, with private garden and all have a private heated seawater swimming pool.

The bungalows have individual air-conditioning units and include a sea water swimming pool that is either private (most of them heated) or shared with the neighbouring bungalow.  Most of the swimming pools are heated in early spring and late fall.

Bungalows with a private pool and garden are larger than the standard bungalows with shared pools.  The smallest among them, the 'studio' has extra sitting space, the 'suite' bungalows have a separate bedroom and sitting room and the 2 or 3-bedroom 'suite' bungalows have more than one bedroom each with a separate bathroom.

The rooms and bungalows have elegant marble bathrooms, most of them with air-bath tubs as well as a separate shower enclosure.  Facilities in the rooms include air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, colour satellite TV, in-house music, mini bar, safe, hair-dryer, bathrobes and slippers.  In addition all bungalows are equipped with a sunshade and deck chairs and beach towels.

All units have been individually designed and tastefully decorated.
