The lush green little village Sarhos is set 23km southwest of Heraklion on the Heraklion - Voutes - Pendamodi - Kitharida - Sarhos road. At the area are numerous attractions like byzantine churches, the famous "Honos" cave of Sarhos etc. The beauties of nature guests will have the opportunity to enjoy either on foot or on the back of a donkey. 

Near Sarhos is the attractive church of the Panagia Kera. The Byzantine church of the Panagia Kera has one of the most decorative church doors on Crete and an artistic back window. The church has two aisles and it was covered with frescoes, but few are visible today.
