Following the path on the left side of the bay you come across many restaurants, taverns, cafes and bars, which overlook the sea.

The sea resort was named after the church of Saint Pelagia, which is only one km west of the bay. Nowadays the little church and some ruins are still visible.

On the northern shore of the bay lies a cave named “Evresi” (finding place) where a holy icon of the Saint was discovered. The beautiful little cove of Lygaria and the charming village of Palaikastro with its pebble beach are just a few kilometres away from Agia Pelagia.
